João Ramalho-Santos
João Ramalho-Santos concluded his PhD in Cell Biology in 1997 at University of Coimbra. He was a post-doctoral fellow in Reproductive Biology at Oregon Health & Science University USA (1997-2000), a Visiting Scientist at University of Pittsburgh, USA (2003-2006) and a Fulbright Fellow at University of California San Francisco, USA (2009). Currently, he is Associate Professor at the Department of Life Sciences, University of Coimbra. He is also Director of the Center for Neuroscience and Cell Biology (CNC) and the coordinator of the Doctoral programme in Experimental Biology and Biomedicine (PDBEB). Additionally, he is the Head of the Biology of Reproduction and Stem Cells Group at the CNC and Associate Editor of the Journals Reproduction and Human Reproduction. He is reviewer for over 30 journals and 6 agencies (Including FCT, Portugal, MRC, UK, and DFG, Germany) and a former member of the National Ethics Council for the Life Sciences (CNECV).
